Jazzhole in Brooklyn
Join us on Saturday, 8 February for the screening of “Faaji Agba”; a documentary by filmmaker Remi Vaughan-Richards.
This documentary follows the six-year journey of seven Yoruba master musicians in Lagos, Nigeria who were widely popular in the ‘70s and ‘80s but disappeared into obscurity until they were rediscovered by Kunle Tejuoso of Jazzhole Records.
From Lagos to New York, this screening and talk are coming to life once again through an immersive cultural experience co-curated by Usen Esiet and KJ Tejuoso.
Limited copies of Issues 1 and 2 of Jazzhole Magazine (shot by Andrew Dosunmu) will be available.
Doors open from 12PM and the film screening will begin promptly at 4PM, immediately followed by the talk. Refreshments will also be available.
